Self-Directed Learning
COMING SOON!
Learn at your own pace.
The Campus Compass online modules are self-directed, interactive learning experiences designed to help high school students prepare for their post-secondary journey. Each module takes approximately 30 minutes and can be completed independently — at home, at school, or anywhere in between.
The series walks students through a step-by-step process: from understanding who they are, to exploring the world of work, to choosing a pathway and building a real plan.
“The modules were very easy to engage with and felt more like you were exploring into yourself then just filling out a quiz or form. I loved the sections where it allowed you to explore what kind of jobs may fit to your skills. I found that they showed me a lot of opportunities and pathways that I would've not necessarily originally thought of but matched well with my strengths" Ava B., first year university student

The Campus Compass modules are five self-directed online learning activities designed to help you explore your strengths, work preferences, career interests, and post-secondary options — at your own pace, in any order, and on any device. Yes. Before you open Module 1, you must complete the CliftonStrengths assessment through Gallup. This assessment identifies your Top 5 natural strengths from a list of 34 themes and takes approximately 30–45 minutes to complete. Your results are the starting point for everything in Module 1 — and they carry forward through the entire five-module series. You cannot meaningfully complete Module 1 without them.

Yes — the modules are designed to build on each other. Module 1 (Strengths) feeds into Module 2 (Work Environments and Learning Styles), which feeds into Module 3 (The World of Work), and so on. Jumping ahead can mean missing the connections that make the later modules more meaningful. And before you start Module 1, make sure you have your CliftonStrengths results ready — everything in the series builds from them.
